We had a blast this weekend at the Morton Arboretum. Now that we have a new hitch/bike rack, we're much more mobile with our bikes. Saturday we rode the both sides of the Arboretum. First we rode the east side, which is the longer, hillier side. Then we went on a guided tour of the west side, which also included a meeting the resident beekeeper and a viewing of the hives. There was a honeybee festival going on all weekend, and this bike ride was one of the activities offered. It was really, really fun. We're even looking into getting a hive for our backyard! So cool.
On Sunday we went back to the Arboretum early to take advantage of the car-free west side ride. It certainly was much safer riding the roads sans cars! After the ride we too a walk around and checked out the tree house exhibit. What a great weekend!
