Tyler is finally coming home this Tuesday (which coincidentally was her due date). The doctors all agreed that since her only lingering problem is that she doesn't eat consistently she might as well learn at home. They figure that we could try to teach her more effectively at home, away from all the distractions and noises that are continuous in the hospital. She will still have an NG tube in her nose to give her formula that she isn't able to finish from her bottle. Daddy and I had a lesson on how to insert and remove the tube (Phil really is starting to think he's a doctor) and it wasn't quite as bad as we expected. We'll still have frequent visits with several doctors groups at Children's (cardiology, surgical [for the lymphatic fluid], pediatric and developmental), but we're thrilled to finally get her home.
Auntie Dawn, Grandpa and Daddy have been working feverishly to get her room done. They've done an outstanding job with it - it's adorable.
So, we're on to the next chapter - life outside of hospitals. Stay tuned...
